Their culinary skills were put to the test much to the delight of the audience and their was fun and banter all round.

We met the heirs to a culinary legend – Evelyn Rose’s daughter, Judi Rose, herself a food writer and cookbook author, and her cousin Dr. Jackie Lewis, a GP and nutritional researcher. They took us on a light-hearted culinary adventure ‘From Fress to Fresh’ and explained how introducing purple fruits to your diet could quite literally change, your life!
Sima Raw
Persian Delights!
Iranian cook extraordinaire, Sima Raw, demonstrated how to take our friendly staple, basmati rice, to a whole new level, by adding fresh herbs, seasonings and ‘Baghali’ (fava beans). Sima’s Persian ‘Baghali Polo’ was accompanied by chicken portions in a scrumptious, tomatoe and lime based traditional Iranian sauce.

Making her Leeds debut, Reut Mor, the new community Israeli Emissary, prepared one of her family’s traditional Israeli dishes, stuffed peppers (meat and veggie).
Taking us on a journey back to her family roots and childhood in Jerusalem, Reut brought to the stage just one of the many diverse and scrumptious dishes hailing from Israel.
